We apologise that this is terribly late.
The album released two weeks ago, but better late than never, right? So if you're still interested, sit back and read our review of OG Riffs' first studio album, The Struggle EP. Where Can I Hear It?
Before we get into the review, it's important that you know where you can hear it should you decide it's worth your time.
The album is, however, completely FREE to listen to and download. First Impressions
OG Riffs.
One of the, if not the, most underrated artist in the community. Just take a look at his single, released before his album, "The Shelter". Somehow, as we're writing this, the song only has 12 views in total. Twelve! It's one of our favourite songs ever, even out of the community. We definitely recommend giving it a listen. Anyway, before we get into the album, you may want to know, at least, what genre it is. Every track in the album is a form of rap music; often, but not always, containing R&B, too. When you first put the album in, you're presented with what, in our opinion, is definitely the best track in the album. Depending on what type of rap music you like will likely determine whether or not you love or hate this track. The lyrics on this track, as well as the way it sounds overall, are just amazing. It really shows off the ability of the people over at Residual Records. Interestingly, this song is the song that caused Burkley Lang to get shot and killed, causing the tension between gangs in San Andreas. You can read about that in more detail here. The second track is, honestly, far weaker than the rest of the songs. It's also one of only two songs in the five-song album that contains no features - with the other being the last track. This song was written only by OG Riffs, suggesting that, whilst he is a very good rapper, his lyrical abilities may not be as good as the other artists involved in writing the album, such as The Beast. The third track is very good. However, unfortunately, the audio quality on this track is far poorer than the rest of the songs on the album, and than all of Residual Records' other songs, for that matter. We asked Residual Records why this is over on Twitter, and then replied with the following tweet:
As for the song itself, though, it's very good. It's just a shame that the poorer audio quality distracts away from the lyrical quality, though.
The audio isn't that bad, it's just noticeably worse than all of the other tracks.
The next track is very, very good.
After the first track, this one is definitely the best. There were rumours that Residual Records were going to release a music video with this song, but this was neither confirmed nor denied by Residual Records or any of the artists involved and nothing had been released so far.
The final track is solid, too.
It's not the best track on the song, but it's definitely not too bad. Positives
The first thing to notice is the artists themselves.
They are all very, very talented. There was nobody on the album that we thought shouldn't have been there. Every single artist was absolutely amazing! The backing instrumentals were really good, too. They were produced by OG Riffs and just show off his musical ability. Not just that, but the lyrics were incredible, too! Every single track had multiple hidden meanings in very verse. The lyrics are amazing. Go back and really listen to the songs, or just read the lyrics on Genius here. Negatives
As we said earlier, the only real disappointment was the quality of the third track.
That's it, really. There's nothing else that we really have to say negatively about this album. We do, however, wish that they hadn't take The Shelter (song) off the album, but we trust that Residual Records know what's best when it comes to their music. Album Information

Interest/Retention --> 4/5
Sound Quality --> 4/5 Production --> 5/5 Sound --> 4.5/5 Lyrics --> 4.5/5 We give "Life Hurts" by Queen Bee a 8.8/10!! You can't deny that Residual Records have done an amazing job here. This was a very, very good album, but you can't deny that it's not as good as Life Hurts or The Posse. Even so, this is an amazing album, and we think that the high score of 8.8 is completely fair, here. Other Reviews
